My results on the "What Kind of Reader Are You" test were Fiction and Speculative Fiction. I believe the results to be accurate. I mostly read Fiction because I enjoy losing myself in a world of realistic fantasy. In other words, when reading a romantic novel, I completely submerge myself in the characters' world, and even put myself in their place. I can talk to myself, get angry, or even cry when reading.
Yet, the last piece I enjoyed was a summer assignment completed for this upcoming year. I read the first chapter of the book "Principles of Economics" by N. Gregory Mankiw which presents the Ten Principles of Economics. The first principle discusses how people face trade-offs as well as relating Economics to a household itself. It also explains how Efficiency and Equality affect us as a whole, and how they apply to a societal government.
When I hear the word Economics, I am usually turned off by its notion, but after reading this piece, I found out that this topic really interests me and introduces me to new thoughts concerning the different trade-offs in my own life.
Uela it's very interesting to know that you found Economics enjoyable after reading one book! The book sounds very good if it swayed your mind over to a least favorited topic. From reading your response of when you took the "What Kind of Reader Are You" test I can see that you are really into fiction. I also was told that fiction was one of my favorite genres and from your response to the book it makes me want to see what tresures it really holds.I love stories that take me to another place and hold my attention for hours on end. What is the difference between fiction and speculative fiction?

ReplyDeleteWhen I hear the word ECONOMICS I just want to run in the opposite direction because it reminds me of school. My quiz results were Fiction as well. I think allot of kids are fiction readers. We like to have fun and enjoy reading. Glad to hear you enjoyed your book. :)
